Comments and notifications
How comment threads and @-mentions keep your team in sync across services, tickets, tasks, and project workstreams, and where to manage notifications.
Comments and @-mentions
Most detail pages in Vigilis have a comments thread at the bottom. You will find one on tickets, services, tasks, workstreams, projects, and accounts.
In a comment thread you can:
- Post plain-text comments and attach files.
- @-mention a person to notify them by email and in-app notification. Mentions only resolve to people in your own organization.
- @-mention a task to drop a direct link to that task into the comment.
Shared feeds between services and workstreams
When a service belongs to a project workstream, the two share a single combined comment feed on both pages, so you never have to check two places for the full conversation. A comment you post on the service shows up on the workstream and vice versa, each clearly labeled with where it came from.
Notifications
A comment mention reaches you through your personal notification settings, and ticket comments follow your Ticket Updates preference. Rather than manage any of that from here, it all lives in one place: which events email you, how the in-app bell behaves, and the Monday weekly digest. See Notification preferences.
Organization-wide notification recipients are a separate, admin-only setting. See Organization settings.
