# Notification preferences

Your notification preferences live in a card on your profile at `/profile`. They control what reaches you personally. All six toggles default to **on**, and each one saves the moment you change it.

## The six toggles

1. **Invoice Received.** When a new invoice is processed.
2. **Disconnect Billing Alerts.** When a disconnected service still appears on an invoice.
3. **Weekly Digest.** The Monday summary (see below).
4. **Ticket Updates.** Ticket status changes and comments.
5. **Contract Expiration.** When a contract nears its end date.
6. **Review Queue.** When one of your invoices is flagged and waiting in the review queue.

## One toggle covers email and the bell

Each toggle governs both channels together: email and the in-app notification bell. There is no separate email-only or in-app-only selector. Turn a toggle off and you stop receiving that event both ways.

## Preferences are per organization

If you belong to more than one organization, your preferences are independent in each one. Setting them in one organization does not change them in another.

## The weekly digest

The **Weekly Digest** toggle is on by default, so it is really an opt-out. It's sent every Monday morning and covers the prior week:

- An AI-written summary.
- Vital stats.
- A "needs attention" block.
- Tables for tickets, renewals, financials, and service changes.

There are no frequency options; it goes out on Mondays or not at all. The very first digest you receive has no week-over-week spend delta, since there's no prior week to compare against yet.

## Personal preferences vs. organization notifications

The toggles above are yours alone. They are different from the org-level **Notifications** tab, which an admin uses to add extra recipient email addresses for the whole organization. When a type has recipient addresses set there, that event is routed to those addresses org-wide; when it has none, each user's personal preferences apply. See [Organization settings](/administration/organization-settings/) for that admin view.

## Common questions

**Can I get email notifications without the in-app bell, or the other way around?**

No. Each toggle governs both email and the in-app bell together. There's no separate email-only or in-app-only selector.

**How do I stop the weekly digest?**

Turn off the Weekly Digest toggle in your notification preferences. It's on by default, so it's really an opt-out. There are no frequency options; it's sent every Monday or not at all.

**I'm in more than one organization. Do my preferences carry over?**

No. Your notification preferences are independent per organization, so you set them separately in each one.

**When does the weekly digest arrive and what's in it?**

It's sent every Monday morning and covers the prior week: an AI-written summary, vital stats, a needs-attention block, and tables for tickets, renewals, financials, and service changes. Your first digest has no week-over-week spend delta.
