# What Vigilis is

Vigilis is where your company keeps track of everything related to your IT and telecom spend, in one place.

## A note on branding

Vigilis is delivered to you through your IT/telecom provider, and most providers put their own name, logo, and colors on the app. So the screens described in this help center might say something other than "Vigilis" at the top. The features, navigation, and workflows are the same either way. If a term in this guide doesn't quite match what's on your screen, look for the equivalent labeled item; your provider can also confirm.

This help center is written for people who use Vigilis inside their own company: **organization admins** (who manage settings, billing, and members) and **regular members** (who use it day to day for invoices, services, tickets, and reports).

## What's in Vigilis

- **Invoices.** Carrier and vendor bills arrive automatically. Vigilis reads each PDF with AI, extracts every line item, matches it to a service, and reconciles billed against contracted amounts, so you don't key in charges by hand. When something doesn't add up it flags an **anomaly** and routes the invoice to a **review queue**. See [How invoices arrive](/invoices/how-invoices-arrive/).
- **Services.** A living inventory of every circuit, line, and service you pay for, each with its provider, MRC, contract term, location, and **lifecycle** status (from pending order through installed, activated, and eventually disconnected). See [Service inventory](/inventory-and-contracts/service-inventory/).
- **Contracts.** The agreements behind your services, with term dates, auto-renew and notice terms, and pricing. Contracts can be added by hand or extracted from a document, then reviewed and approved. See [Contracts](/inventory-and-contracts/contracts/).
- **Network (Flux).** For circuits managed through your provider's network partner, you can view bandwidth, schedule changes, and let **Auto-Flux** raise or lower bandwidth automatically from measured usage. See [Circuit connections](/network/circuit-connections/).
- **Reports.** Spend, inventory, budget, and lifecycle reporting, plus a pivot table over your invoice line items, so you always know what you're paying for and why. See [Reports hub](/reports/reports-hub/).
- **Projects, tasks & tickets.** The operational work of standing up new services, tracking service requests, and following up on issues. See [Projects and workstreams](/operations/projects-and-workstreams/).

## Your data stays yours

Everything in Vigilis belongs to your organization only. You'll never see another company's data, and no one outside your organization and your provider can see yours.

## Why you might not see everything

Which of these sections you see, and how much you can do in each one, depends on two things: **your role** (organization admin vs. member) and **your organization's plan** (some features, like Network/Flux, are paid add-ons).

If a section described in this help center isn't visible to you, see [Roles and permissions](/navigation/roles-and-permissions/) or [Common problems](/troubleshooting/common-problems/).

## Good places to start

Once you're in, two articles help you find your footing:

- [Managing your profile](/your-account/managing-your-profile/) covers your account settings, notification preferences, and account security.
- [The dashboard](/navigation/the-dashboard/) explains the landing page you see after every sign-in, with its spend, invoice, contract, and ticket cards.

## Common questions

**Is Vigilis the same everywhere?**

The core product is the same, but your provider chooses the branding, which plan features are turned on, and whether some workflows (like billing) are self-serve or handled on your behalf.

**Who do I contact with questions Vigilis itself can't answer?**

Your IT/telecom provider, the company that gave you access to Vigilis. Use the in-app Get help or Feedback buttons, or your normal contact at that company.
